April 5, 2017 (Irvine, CA) – Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. (“Montrose”) is pleased to announce that, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries Montrose Air Quality Services, LLC (“MAQS”) and Enthalpy Analytical, LLC (“Enthalpy”), it has acquired the field services and laboratory business assets of Prism Analytical Technologies, Inc. (“Prism”). Prism will retain assets relating to its chemical instrumentation business, which will operate as MAX Analytical Technologies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Prism is a leader in fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) instrument integration and applications and a leading consultative air testing laboratory in the United States. Through its brand, Home Air Check, Prism also services the residential market by offering comprehensive home air tests to detect volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde and growing mold in homes. Its field services and laboratory teams, including Chief Executive Officer Lester Keepper, will join MAQS and Enthalpy, respectively.
Mr. Keepper stated, “We are honored to be recognized and incredibly excited to be joining the Montrose family. Prism feels a great sense of shared values that will lead to great opportunities for our employees, customers, and the industry.”
“I am very excited to have Prism join the Montrose family of companies. Our organization prides itself in attracting top caliber people and Prism’s team is just that. Their best in class FTIR work coupled with our team of experts makes us the national leader in FTIR testing capabilities. Today is a great day and I am thrilled to have them join our team,” said Peter Zemek, Senior Vice President of Emerging Technology.
Steven Eckard, Senior Vice President of Enthalpy, added, “Prism has unique capabilities to measure pollutants at very low concentrations. As levels of concern become lower and lower over time these skills will be another reason that Enthalpy will be the leader for measuring pollutants in air. Also, Prism’s leading position in the consumer indoor air market gives Enthalpy a new opportunity for expansion. Prism brings a specific and deep knowledge set and I am excited to add them to our portfolio.”
Montrose looks forward to its continued relationship with MAX Analytical Technologies for leading edge FTIR and GC-FTIR products.
