Scan and Target

AS002-TC — This analysis is based on the concept that after taking a full Air Scan analysis, up to 12 compounds from those detected are selected for subsequent monitoring using a Target Analysis. Subsequent samples are taken using the same protocol as was used for the full Air Scan analysis, but only the target compounds are reported. A common application for Scan and Target is cleanup tracking.

Cleanup Tracking
When a fire or other catastrophic event takes place, there is always concern about personal exposure or the effectiveness of the cleanup, but there is seldom any information available to us as to what VOCs are present. Prism’s Scan and Target application is designed to help in these situations. First, a complete TDT Air Scan analysis is performed in the source area. Then, based upon this analysis, a group of “target compounds” is selected. Compounds are selected as targets based on the level of hazard they present and their quantity. After the target compounds have been selected, they are the only compounds determined in all subsequent target samples. This cost for this analysis is half that of the full Air Scan analysis.
