Method Name:
TB002-AS
Marketing/Spec:
Tedlar Bag Air Scan is used to quickly and inexpensively identify what compounds are in the air. A Tedlar bag is used to collect a sample of air. After sampling, the Tedlar bag is sent to PATI for the qualitative and quantitative identification of over 350 compounds including low molecular organics and inorganics, such as NH3, HCl, HF, HBr, CO, CO2, water, and methane. Other compounds which may be present can also be identified and semi--quantified. Tedlar Bag Air Scan is a combination of instrument technology and methodology developed by PATI that has a wide range of applications from personal monitoring, office buildings and warehouses to industrial complexes and landfills. This method requires analysis within 48 hours. Sample collection requires either a personal monitoring pump or a vacuum chamber.
Features:
  • Cost effective
  • Semi-quantitation of other major compounds not listed in the 350 compound list
  • Easy shipping, handling, and storage
  • Reduced project time by quickly determining what compounds are present as well as what compounds are not present
  • Tubes can be ordered and shipped same day at no additional cost
  • Data reduction is performed by experienced, degreed chemists
Applications:
  • TWA Monitoring
  • Monitoring of work place background and exposure levels
  • Personal Exposure Monitoring
  • Sick building syndrome monitoring
  • Process changeover / process maintenance exposure
  • Sampling of enclosed areas
  • Surveying work areas
